{"id":248200,"date":"2022-11-06T15:27:23","date_gmt":"2022-11-06T14:27:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/staging.socius.de\/?p=248200"},"modified":"2026-06-03T12:15:45","modified_gmt":"2026-06-03T10:15:45","slug":"beyond-post-heroism-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/staging.socius.de\/en\/selbstorganisation-b\/beyond-post-heroism-2\/","title":{"rendered":"SOCIUS at Sociocracy for All"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"et_pb_section_0 et_pb_section et_section_regular et_block_section\"><div class=\"et_pb_row_0 et_pb_row et_block_row\"><div class=\"et_pb_column_0 et_pb_column et_pb_column_4_4 et-last-child et_block_column et_pb_css_mix_blend_mode_passthrough\"><div class=\"et_pb_text_0 et_pb_text et_pb_bg_layout_light et_pb_module et_block_module\"><div class=\"et_pb_text_inner\"><p>On 13 October 2022, Nicola Kriesel, Lysan Escher and Andreas Knoth attended the \u201eEvery voice matters\u201c online conference organised by\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sociocracyforall.org\/de\/\">Sociocracy for All<\/a>\u00a0and discussed our own transformation process:<\/p>\n<p>How we have developed from a heroically led company with a big heart and a willingness to work as a team, through a post-heroic phase in which we also experienced a great deal of uncertainty and decisions that were made by the whole team were the best, or at least the safest, to a pan-heroic team in which we can all shine and trust in each other's abilities to make good decisions for everyone.<br \/>The subsequent discussion also focused on the ability to trust, and as we heard, this seems to have been a recurring theme throughout the entire conference.<\/p>\n<p>If we understand sociocracy as a practice of self-organisation, then consensus decisions can make a significant contribution to building trust within the organisation. Not only does the ritualistic process bring with it a predictable routine, but the certainty of being heard and the assurance that there will be no exclusionary experiences when a serious objection is raised with regard to the common goal also contributes to building trust.<br \/>Nevertheless, in our experience, it is not enough to just speak up in a group (although that is definitely a good start!). You also need to have the courage to stand up for your own opinion, your own experience and your own arguments, and to present them to the team.
